Get Ready for an Exciting New Login and Registration Process for MySNHU in 2023!
Just in time for the launch of our brand new MySNHU, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be upgrading the login and registration process! We are committed to offering the best possible user experience with our products and services, and our staff has been working hard to develop this new system that will streamline your ability to register and log in. Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect come 2023!
How do you log into MySNHU now?
Currently, you can log into MySNHU via a username or email address. You will be prompted to select a password or can opt to not set one. After selecting your login credentials, you’ll be directed to the main page of the site. To sign up for the first time, click on Register at the top right corner of the screen.
What are the benefits of the new registration process?
The new registration process will make your experience as a student easier and more enjoyable. If you’re entering high school, the login process is as simple as clicking on one link to get started. If you are not currently enrolled at SNHU, it’ll take about three minutes to complete the enrollment form. You can enroll part-time or full-time – whatever’s best for you!
How does it work?
Starting Fall Semester 2020, all new students will be required to sign up with a StudentNHR account before their first day of classes. This means that starting with the Fall 2020 semester, you will no longer need to sign up for student accounts through Handshake. Instead, the Registrar’s Office will email you instructions on how to create your StudentNHR account during the process of registering for classes.
How will students be able to set up their own accounts?
For students who are already enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University, you can use your SNHU username and password to log in. After clicking on the login button, you will then be directed to a login page. On this page, enter your username and password that you set up during the registration process. Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Create my account if you do not have one or want to create a new account.
How will faculty members use this login system?
Faculty members will use their email addresses, as well as a six-digit password created with the SHA2-256 algorithm, to access their accounts. It may take up to five minutes for your computer or device to display your account when you log on. Click Forgot Password? on the login screen if you need assistance accessing your account. When will this new login system be available to our users?
As always, the University wants to ensure that our users have the best experience. The new login system will be available to all current students, faculty, staff, and alumni starting January 1st. New students who register beginning on or after January 1st, will have the option of using their first name or full name as their username during registration. Starting in 2020 for new registrations you will be able to choose which email you would like your password sent to.
Why do we need to make these changes now?
Well, to be honest, it’s been getting more difficult for the current IT team to keep up with this system. It takes them weeks to make any changes or updates, which can cause significant delays or errors. In order to stay ahead of the curve, we need a system that is easier and faster to use and that we don’t have to worry about. And by switching over now, there is less likelihood of mistakes and complications as well as increased efficiency on behalf of the IT department.
